By creating an account, browsing, posting, listing, messaging, buying, selling, or otherwise using Garage Farmers, you agree to these terms and the Rules and Privacy Policy.

If you use Garage Farmers for a farm, business, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on that entity’s behalf.

You are responsible for your account activity and for keeping sign-in access secure. Provide accurate account information and update it when it changes.

We may refuse, limit, suspend, or terminate access when needed to protect users, the platform, or legal and operational integrity.

Garage Farmers provides tools for discovery, listings, communication, farm profiles, inventory, community activity, and transaction records. Users decide whether and how to complete a transaction.

Garage Farmers advertises listings created by sellers. Garage Farmers is not a party to contracts for sale between sellers and buyers. We do not take possession of livestock, earn or take a commission, handle escrow, or process payments or refunds in connection with a listing. Instead, Garage Farmers provides the technological infrastructure through which sellers can create and advertise listings and users can connect and transact with each other. Garage Farmers is not a seller or a buyer.

Buyers must arrange payment for livestock with the seller directly. Payment is handled through the seller’s Square, PayPal, Zelle, or other third-party payment processing account, including when Square checkout is completed on Garage Farmers. Garage Farmers does not transfer legal ownership of livestock from the seller to the buyer; the seller is responsible for transferring legal ownership.

You are responsible for providing all sales terms and completing payment by providing your buyer with payment information for your Square account, PayPal, Zelle, or other approved third-party payment processor. Square checkout on Garage Farmers still settles to your Square seller account. Garage Farmers does not process, split, hold, or escrow funds on behalf of users.

By connecting your Square, PayPal, or other third-party payment processing account, you confirm that this account belongs to you. You agree that you are the Merchant of Record and marketplace seller, responsible for collecting/remitting taxes. Payments are processed through your Square, PayPal, or other third-party payment processing account. Garage Farmers is not the seller and does not process or split payments.

Garage Farmers does not remit sales tax or use tax in connection with your transactions. Garage Farmers reserves the right to provide relevant transaction information to government authorities or buyers upon request in order to comply with applicable laws.

Buy Now lets Farmer Ops farms that are out of QT and connected to Square accept card payments on Garage Farmers via Square. The feature is optional. You need a US Square seller account that charges USD. Garage Farmers does not charge an additional fee to use Square checkout in this version of the product; Square’s own fees still apply. A Garage Farmers fee may be charged in the future.

Square checkout on Garage Farmers is card-only and limited to US Square sellers charging USD. Bank ACH is not offered in this version.

When you connect Square, Garage Farmers may view merchant profile information needed to complete Connect (such as merchant and location identifiers), take payments for Garage Farmers sales, and read payment status for those sales so the transaction can show as paid. Garage Farmers will only use Square payment history for transactions that occurred through Garage Farmers. Garage Farmers is the communication point between the buyer and the seller. Payments are communicated to Square through Garage Farmers, but we cannot force payments or refunds. All refunds must be completed directly through Square.

By connecting your Square account, you agree that you are the merchant of record. You are responsible for collecting and remitting applicable taxes. Payments are processed directly through your Square account. Garage Farmers does not process or split payments.

You can disconnect Square at any time from your farm payment preferences. Disconnecting stops new Square checkout; it does not unwind completed Square charges. Square checkout on Garage Farmers does not wait for a separate farmer Accept after the buyer pays: an unpaid Square cart is payable without Accept/Decline, and a Square completed payment confirms the sale.

As a seller, you are liable for any and all fees or assessments arising out of your sales made using some or all of our Services, including income taxes, sales taxes, use tax, and any other fees or charges assessed based on your sales or jurisdiction. Sellers are responsible for complying with all tax laws and collecting and remitting any sales, use, or other taxes applicable to their remote sales on Garage Farmers. Garage Farmers does not collect, report, or remit taxes on any seller’s behalf. Garage Farmers will not be liable for any tax reporting, remittance, or registration obligations of a seller.

Each seller agrees to indemnify and hold Garage Farmers harmless for any taxes, assessments, penalties, fees, interest, or other costs incurred by Garage Farmers as a result of such seller’s failure to collect, report, or remit taxes in connection with such seller’s sales or failure to comply with applicable tax laws.

Garage Farmers makes no representation or warranty regarding the legal or tax consequences of any transactions on its platform. Garage Farmers does not guarantee that any seller is collecting or remitting taxes on a transaction; compliance with tax laws is solely the responsibility of each seller. Any and all tax liability rests with the seller or buyer, as applicable.

You are responsible for your content, listings, communications, livestock care, legal compliance, taxes, licenses, permits, payment choices, shipping choices, pickup arrangements, and transaction outcomes.

You may not misuse the platform, interfere with service operation, scrape protected data, bypass limits, upload malicious content, or use Garage Farmers to facilitate unlawful activity.

You keep ownership of content you submit, but you grant Garage Farmers a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to host, store, copy, resize, crop, format, display, distribute, moderate, and use that content as needed to operate, improve, protect, and provide the service.

This permission includes using uploaded photos and other media in Garage Farmers features such as inventory records, listings, farm profiles, tank pages, community posts, search, browse, livestock catalog examples, discovery surfaces, product education, and related platform promotion. You represent that you own or have the rights needed for any content you upload.

We may remove or restrict content that violates these terms, the Rules, product quality standards, safety expectations, or applicable law.

We charge sellers for the use of our Services through membership and other platform plans. These platform fees are service charges only and are not commissions on sales. Stripe membership billing is a platform service charge, not livestock checkout.

Paid memberships and feature limits may change over time. Current plan details, pricing, billing cadence, renewal behavior, and cancellation options are presented in the membership and billing flows.

Unless stated otherwise in the purchase flow or required by law, fees are not refundable for completed billing periods.

Garage Farmers is provided as-is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access, error-free operation, successful sales, specific buyer interest, livestock survival, carrier performance, or business results.

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Garage Farmers is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for losses caused by user conduct, user transactions, third-party services, carrier issues, or payment disputes.

We may update these terms as the product, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The updated date on this page tells you when the current version was posted.

Continuing to use Garage Farmers after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
