Garage Farmers

Community Standards

Rules

Garage Farmers works when reef keepers, growers, buyers, and sellers treat each other like trusted neighbors.

Use Real, Honest Information

Keep profile, farm, tank, listing, and transaction information accurate. Do not impersonate another person, misrepresent livestock, hide known pests or health issues, or post listings you cannot reasonably fulfill.

Photos should show the actual coral, livestock, tank, farm, or item being discussed or sold unless the listing clearly says otherwise.

Respect The Reefing Community

No harassment, threats, hate speech, doxxing, sexual content, spam, scams, or repeated unwanted contact. Critique husbandry, pricing, and methods without attacking the person.

Keep community posts, help questions, replies, and messages relevant to reef keeping, aquaculture, equipment, marketplace activity, or Garage Farmers support.

Sell Responsibly

Sellers are responsible for the accuracy, legality, condition, pricing, payment handling, packaging, pickup, shipping, refunds, guarantees, and tax treatment of their own listings and sales.

Do not list prohibited, illegally collected, misidentified, endangered, restricted, counterfeit, stolen, or unsafe items. Follow all local, state, federal, and carrier rules that apply to your livestock.

Handle Disputes In Good Faith

If a transaction has a problem, communicate promptly and preserve useful context such as photos, messages, timestamps, payment records, and agreed terms.

Garage Farmers may review platform activity, but the platform is not a payment processor, shipping carrier, escrow service, insurer, tax adviser, or legal representative for either party.

Enforcement

We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, revoke badges, cancel memberships, or preserve records when activity appears unsafe, abusive, fraudulent, illegal, or harmful to the platform.

We may also act when behavior creates operational risk even if it is not listed word-for-word here.
