Just want to share what I’ve been dealing with so nobody else goes through the same headache I did. I bought some anemones from a local seller who told me they were Colorado Sunbursts with a marble foot (Paid $500). He even confirmed it in messages.
When I got home and actually looked at them under proper lighting, they were clearly not what he claimed. I even asked a few experienced reef people and they all said the same thing — not CSBs.
I reached out to the seller right away and offered to return them while he was still in the area. He refused and changed his story. That’s when everything started going downhill
I’m sharing this because I don’t want anyone else to deal with this kind of stress. Be careful buying livestock from private sellers. Ask for clear photos, double‑check everything, and trust your gut.
